Nigeria international, Victor Moses is on the 30-man list shortlisted for the 2017/2018 Chelsea’s Player of the Year, the club’s website has announced.

Moses would have to battle N’Golo Kanté, Eden Hazard, Willian, for the prestigious award won by players that have performed excellently throughout the season.

It would however be a difficult one for Moses who has only scored three goals and registered three assists in 32 matches for the Blues.

Belgium international, Eden Hazard has taken the prize in three of the last four years (2014, 2015 and 2017) and from the current squad Willian is also a past winner having come out on top in 2016.

Although no Nigerian player has ever won the main award since its inception, in 2007, Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi was voted the Young Player of the Year.

There will be additional prizes handed out on the night, to the Players’ Player of the Year and Goal of the Season at the club’s annual end-of-season awards ceremony on May 10.
