Rohr happy with Ezenwa’s return

Super Eagles Head Coach, Gernot Rohr has expressed his delight with the return of  goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa from injury.

This was disclosed to SportingLife.ng by the Enyimba keeper who confirmed that he got a phone call from the head coach who needed to know the extent of his injury.

“The coach is happy that l am back on my feet and that the injury was not so serious. He is very happy  and hopes I continue to play and stay fit for the World Cup,” he said.

Ezenwa sustained an ankle injury last week in Enyimba’s NPFL clash against Kwara United in Ilorin, which sparked fears within the football family, but it was however downplayed by the keeper.

The keeper who has since resumed training should be available for selection when Enyimba entertain Bidvest Wits in the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup in Calabar on Wednesday.
