Manchester United, Leicester: Iheanacho, Ndidi start
Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho has been dropped to the bench by Leicester manager Claude Puel for tonight’s English Premier League Opener against Manchester United at the Old Trafford.
Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho has been handed a starting shirt by Leicester manager Claude Puel for tonight’s English Premier League Opener against Manchester United at the Old Trafford.
Puel’s decision to include the Nigerian in the line up is as a result of his impressive Pre season outing where he scored four goals in three matches.
Iheanacho takes the place of England international Jamie Vardy upfront following his return to training this week after taking an extended world cup break.
Also in action for the foxes is fellow compatriot Wilfred Ndidi who will be in his traditional jersey number 25.
Iheanacho retains his jersey number 8 as Leicester confirmed its squad numbers on its official website ahead of the new campaign.
