Ilechukwu wants more signings for MFM

MFM head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has appealed to the management of the club to ensure that some of the experienced players he penciled down for the Olukoya Boys are cleared after they lost their opening
game of the season against Enyimba in Aba.

The Olukoya Boys were beaten 2-0 by the People’s Elephant at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba on Sunday and Ilechukwu who praised their opponents and called them one of the best in the league
disclosed that they need experienced players to weather through the storm after they lost eight of their players yet again to opposing teams during the preseason activities.

Ilechukwu pointed out that scoring goal has been a problem he has been trying to find a solution for throughout the pre-season but that the management is yet to sign the experienced players he has sighted that
he feels could help the team resolve their profligacy.

“I am not disappointed because we played against a better side. Enyimba are a big team and we just tried our best to see if we would be able to repel them but today’s game is gone and we will continue to try our best,” Ilechukwu told SportingLife.ng.

“We really need to work on converting our chances better in subsequent games. It has been a problem since during our preseason games and it was the reason I tried getting some experienced players in the attack
to help us but I couldn’t get them because of the condition of our structure.
