Napoli to resume training on Monday

Napoli could resume training on Monday after Campania chief Vincenzo De Luca said he was ‘in favour’ with the club’s plans.

Campania is one of the regions least hit by a coronavirus, accounting for just 354 of Italy’s deaths, and De Luca is happy for its biggest club to get back to work imminently.

“I talked to the Napoli President about the resumption of team training,” he explained during a press conference this afternoon.

“His proposal seems absolutely reasonable to me and I’m in favour, under these conditions.”

Napoli’s proposal includes three training pitches, which guarantees to distance between players, individual showers and two tests per week for each active employee.

Parma have also been given permission to resume training on May 4, but they have already announced they will wait until there is a joint agreement between clubs and authorities.
