Napoli ready to rival Chelsea for Super Eagles forward
Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has reportedly emerged as a surprise summer transfer target for Italian Serie A side, SSC Napoli.
Reports coming out of the Premier League suggest Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the player’s progress and have watched him closer when they faced Lille Metropole in UEFA Champions League game this season.
The 21-year-old Osimhen has been in impressive form for his French club this campaign scoring 18 times and registering six assists in 38 appearances in all competitions, despite arriving at the club last summer.
Addidtional report from French paper Le 10 Sport, claim Chelsea are ready to follow up their interest in the player submitting a bid in the region of 55 million pounds for the striker in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile Italian Serie A side, Napoli have also joined the race for his signature as they hope to start rebuilding their squad.

At the last count, Osimhen has attracted interest from top European clubs including Liverpool, Real Madrid, Arsenal, and FC Barcelona in the summer.
The 2019 AFCON bronze medalist has also scored four times in eight appearances for Nigeria’s Super Eagles since making his debut in 2017.
