Angry Spurs fans lampoon Mourinho over Brighton loss

Furious Tottenham fans have put Jose Mourinho and Gareth Bale on full blast after Spurs suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Brighton.
Leandro Trossard opened the scoring in the first half at the Amex as Brighton secured all three points on Sunday
Tottenham’s defeat is another blow in their pursuit for top four as they are six points behind fourth-place Leicester City.
Spurs’ lacklustre performance saw Bale, who is on loan from Real Madrid, replaced by Lucas Moura in the second half.
Fans have now taken to social media to vent their frustrations towards the 31-year-old Welsh winger, who has scored four times in 15 appearances across all competitions.
Mourinho has also been placed in the firing line as Spurs supporters are calling for the ‘Special One’ to be axed.
The Spurs boss admitted that his side were poor with their first-half performance, but he insisted that he was “much happier” with their second-half showing.
“We didn’t start well, we started with some mistakes that lead to a ball that hit the post and then the goal.
“The team showed in the first half that it was too sad to play football. When you are too sad, you have no energy, enthusiasm or confidence, and that was what the team showed in the first half.
“The second half, I am much happier, they showed not a phenomenal performance, we didn’t even turn the result but a different performance — more intensity and more dynamic.
“We were dominant in the second half and deserved a better result.”
Tottenham will now host London rivals Chelsea on Thursday before facing West Brom on Sunday.
