AC Milan hitman prepares to join Inter Miami

Los Angeles FC shared a teaser of their next big signing with a cryptic French message – “Bonne Nuit” – as Olivier Giroud prepares to join the MLS.
The French striker will hit free agency in the summer as his current deal with AC Milan will expire at the end of the campaign. However, the 37-year-old will continue to play professional football and is widely speculated to join LAFC across the Atlantic. They hold the MLS discovery rights on Giroud which gives them the exclusive right to sign him ahead of other rivals.

The MLS outfit has further fuelled those speculations by sharing a video on their social media handles which shows a gift box, labelled LAFC international mail, containing a brand new club cap. The caption adds more intrigue as it reads “Bonne nuit” – which means “Good night” in French.
According to The Athletic, Giroud will officially sign for LAFC after Euro 2024 on a one-year deal which will see him lock horns against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami at some stage in the US top fight. The showpiece event is set to conclude on July 14 whereas, the US transfer window will be thrown open four days later on July 18. In the short term, he will return to action on Saturday in a Serie A encounter against Fiorentina.
