AFCON 2023: 17 Eagles in Abu Dhabi camp still counting Ndidi out
About 17 Eagles have hit the Abu Dhabi camp of the Super Eagles as the begin final shape of the AFCON to held in Cote d’Ivoire from January 13
This was dished out via the the official X handle of the Super Eagles on Wednesday.
Currently, the players present in the camp include Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi, and Victor Boniface. Additionally, Kenneth Omeruo, Moses Simon, Leke Ojo, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, Joe Aribo, and Frank Onyeka are also part of the camp.

Others include Bruno Onyemaechi, Zaidu Sanusi, Chidozie Awaziem, Bright Osayi Samuel, and Raphael Onyedika .
Those still being awaited and who are likely to hit camp before the close of today include Alhassan Yusuf, the 23-year-old midfielder who was invited to replace injured Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho who had earlier been reported to be injured and whose participation is still on probability scale.
Eagles’ first-choice goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho is also yet to resume to camp. He was in action for his Cypriot club, Omonoia last night. Thanks to his presence, his team beat AEL 3-1.

Recall that Uzoho, Sadiq Umar of Real Sociedad, and Samuel Chukwueze were permitted to report to camp late due to their engagements with their respective clubs last night.
African footballer of the year and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen is yet to hit camp along side Lobi Stars goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali
and finally William Troost-Ekong who plies his trade with Greek Super League club PAOK .
The Eagles who as usual have been tipped as one of the favorites in the month long competition will jet out of Abu Dhabi on January 9 and head to Abidjan via Lagos ahead of their opening match against Equatorial Guinea on January 14.
There are strong indications more of the expected players will the camp before this evening training session under flood light.
