AFCON qualifiers: Troost-Ekong, Aina, Etebo, three others are early birds

Preparations have started in earnest for the AFCON qualifiers as five foreign-based players breezed into the Super Eagles camp in Lagos.

England-based stars Ola Aina, William Troost-Ekong, and Semi Ajayi are among the early arrivals while Galatasaray duo Oghenekaro Etebo and Henry Onyekuru have also boosted the camp with their presence.

Team captain Ahmed Musa has also reported to camp – though he has been less-busy all along due to his club-less status since October 2020.

Nigeria is billed to battle Benin on March 27 before facing Lesotho in Lagos four days after – Captain Ahmed Musa, Ola Aina four others have now landed in camp encounters.

Meanwhile, most of the invited stars are expected to storm their Eko Hotel base in Lagos for proper briefing before training eventually kicks-off. Super Eagles players during one of their training sessions.
