Katsina United centerback, Chinedu Ajanah has embraced the new tag ‘clean tackler’ in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) following his outstanding performances this season.

The former ABS star joined the Changi Boys at the start of the season is yet to receive a yellow card with just one game remaining to the end of the first stanza of the NPFL.

Ajanah, who narrowly missed out of the Home-based Eagles side that represented Nigeria at the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco has continued to set the league alight with two goals from his defensive position.

“I was even surprised that people noticed that I haven’t picked up any yellow cards this season,” the player fondly called general told SportingLife.

“The people of Katsina are happy because our performances this season have been very good and to be regarded as a clean tackler makes me even more proud.”

Katsina United will look to consolidate on their second position when they travel to play Plateau United on Sunday in the final match of the NPFL first stanza.
