Ajayi loses with Rotherham, Ambrose missing for Derby 

Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi ended up on the losing side with Rotherham United who were thoroughly beaten 7-1 by Derby County at the Pride Park in the English Championship on Saturday.

Ajayi who was on national duty for Nigeria in their two games against Seychelles and Egypt on Tuesday played for 90 minutes for Rotherham.

He has acored seven times for the English Championship side in 39 appearances.

While Ajayi was in action for Rotterham,  another Nigeria international, Efe Ambrose was nowhere to be found for Derby County.

The Nigerianhas not featured for the Rams since penning a short-term contract with the Rams  in February.

Ogenekaro Etebo was in action from the start to the finish for Stoke City who drew with Sheffield Wednesday at the Bet365 Stadium also in the English Championship..

Etebo who returned to his base on Friday after the international break has scored once in 27 Championship appearances for the Potters.

In another Championship clash, Sammy Ameobi played for 89 minutes in Bolton Wanderers 2-1 away win against Queens Park Rangers at the Loftus Road.

Ameobi was replaced by Clayton Donaldson a minute from time. He has featured 26 times and scored four goals for Bolton
