Akpeyi has found his confidence-Rohr

Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser is happy that one of his dependable goalkeepers and Chippa United of South Africa’s number one goal tender has bounced back for his club, to churn out good performances.

Akpeyi took over from first choice Carl Ikeme when he was diagnosed with acute leukaemia in July last year, but lost his place to Ikechukwu Ezenwa after conceding two goals to Argentina in a friendly match won by the Eagles last year November.

“We are always happy when one of our players is doing well with his club. Daniel (Akpeyi) needed confidence and found it with hard work”, Rohr disclosed to SportingLife.ng from his base in France yesterday.
