Anthony Ujah on target as Union Berlin hit M Gladbach 2-0

 

Super Eagles forward Anthony Ujah was on target as Union Berlin grabbed a 2-0 victory over Borussia m’Gladbach on Saturday.

The Nigerian international and former Mainz 05 ace scored in the 15th minute of the match a lead which Union Berlin held tenaciously to the end of the first half and beyond. Ujah who had a starting shirt played for 78 minutes before being replaced by home boy Marius Bülter.

Ujah on target as Union wins

Sebastian Andersson increased the tally in the first minute of extra time. The victory saw Union Berlin move to the 11th position on the ladder with 13 points in 11 matches. There was however no action for Suleiman Abdbulahi who remains sidelined.

The victory however did not stop Borussia m’Gladbach from maintaining their position at the top of the ladder with 25 points in 11 matches.

In other Bundesliga matches played on Saturday Bayern Munich went on goal rampage as they hammered hosts Fortuna Dusseldorf 4-0 to maintain the 3rd position on the ladder with 21 points in 11 matches.
