Arsenal ‘cursed’ as two top players pick up injuries at Burnley

Arsenal supporters have joked that the club remain ‘cursed’ when it comes to injuries after the Gunners lost Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney to fresh fitness problems at Turf Moor.

Mikel Arteta’s side were looking to see out a 1-0 lead in the second half in Lancashire when the Spaniard’s numbers were depleted once again.

Partey, who was enjoying a fine afternoon, was pictured signalling to the bench that he needed to come off due to a muscle problem.

The central midfielder was then taken off but that wasn’t the end of it and things would only get worse a matter of minutes later.

Tierney then indicated he needed to leave the field as new signing Nuno Tavares replaced him.

Arteta has already had his fair share of injury problems to contend with this season and now he will be patiently awaiting a positive update on the injured duo.
