Arsenal shocked by Chelsea winger’s wage demands
Arsenal have suffered a setback in their pursuit of Chelsea winger Willian.
The Gunners were hoping to sign the Brazilian right-winger on a free transfer in the summer.
But the move may be scuppered by the veteran’s wage demands, according to Metro.
Willian is hoping to sign a two year or three year deal with a club in London as Chelsea are only offering him a 12-month extension.
He wants at least £120,000-a-week, as that is what he earns at Chelsea.
It would mean a huge outlay for a player who would be 34 by the time his three-year deal runs out.

Arsenal are uncertain if they have the funds to make such a deal happen, even if they are saving on a transfer fee.
