Nigerian international, Taiwo Awoniyi struck in injury time to make sure Royal Excel Mouscron secured the vital three points as they defeated league leaders KRC Genk 2-1 in the Belgium first division on Saturday.
The match was almost ending in a draw when Awoniyi scored in the 90th minute to give Mouscron its second consecutive draw. The 21-year-old was on for the entire game.
It will be Awoniyi’s second goal since joining the club the loan two weeks ago. Last week he was on target for Mouscron in their 2-1 victory against Oostende which helped to brighten their chances of escaping relegation.
It was the visitors who had taken the lead in the first half through Mbaye Laye.

However in the 74th minute Genk defender Sebastien Dewaest assisted Mouscron by scoring an own goal in the 74th minute to level scores .
