Baggio: I’d loved to have played for Man City boss Guardiola

Italian great, Robbie Baggio, admits he’d have loved to have played for Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola.

The pair were teammates at Brescia later in their playing careers.

Baggio told Vanity Fair: “Football is and will always be for the players. The best coaches are those who realise this and know how to treat players with honesty and know how to talk to the players while maintaining respect.

“I would have loved to play under a coach with those qualities. If there is one current coach I would have loved to play under, it is Pep Guardiola.

“I think he’s the best in the world.”
