Ballon d’Or: Ronaldo’s girlfriend Rodriguez hails Juventus star for snubbing ceremony
Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez has posted a glowing tribute to the Juventus star after he snubbed the Ballon d’Or ceremony this week amid a third-place finish.
Lionel Messi won his sixth Ballon d’Or in Paris on Monday, pulling ahead of Ronaldo who has won the gong five times in his career to date.
But this year, Ronaldo finished third and Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk polled second. Ronaldo did not attened the event.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Rodriguez wrote: ‘Incomparable, Unstoppable, brave.
‘There are figures and titles, of all this you are the protagonist with the best results, such as: the League of Nations, the Italian Cup, the Serie A Championship, Best Player of the Serie A, among others.
‘But fortunately neither the awards nor the titles speak only for you, even if you have a lot of them.
‘What speaks best about you is yourself, your passion, your hunger for self-improvement, your fellowship, because you are the inspiration of Soccer and Sport for millions and millions of people.

Ronaldo has scored 18 goals in 22 games for club and country so far this season.
