Eagles star reacts after netting first career hat-trick

Super Eagles forward Josh Maja took out time to react after netting his first career hattrick in Bordeaux’s 6-0 big win over Nimes in the Ligue 1 encounter at Matmut Atlantique on Tuesday night, December 3.

The 20-year-old scored the opener for the Girondins in the 24th minute with a decent finish that zoomed past Nimes goalkeeper, Paul Bernardoni before grabbing his second on the night with another sublime finish thirteen minutes later.

Maja, who was among the goals in Bordeaux’s 1-1 draw against Reims at the weekend, finally completed his first hattrick in Ligue 1 with a 53rd-minute effort to put the game beyond Nimes reach, while Otavio scored twice in the 76th and 87th minute to complete the rout.

Speaking moments after the game, Maja applauded his teammates for their support in securing the massive win.

“I feel good, I’m very happy to get my first hat-trick for Bordeaux and in my career.
