BATTLES AGAINST BENIN REP, LESOTHO: Rohr delays Eagles’ list

 

The General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi has revealed to Sportinglife.ng that the Federation is anxiously waiting for Super Eagles’ Chief Coach’s program and Eagles’ team list for the November 11, 2019 qualification match for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Republic of
Benin in Nigeria and away to Lesotho on November 19, 2019.

“What I can tell you for now is that the Super Eagles Camp will be opened very soon for the two qualification matches for the 2021 AFCON.

“As I have been saying, I don’t work in the Technical Department neither am I a member of the Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation. I allow the Coach to bring his proposal. Then we will send it to the Technical Department who will forward it to the Technical Committee, I will then work on the outcome of both
department and committee.

“So we are waiting for them (Eagles technical crew). Once Rohr brings the proposal whatever it is, I will let you know”, Sanusi told Sportinglife.ng

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will begin their quest for the 20121 Africa Cup of Nations glory with a home game with western neighbours, Benin Republic on November 11, 2019, when the qualification series begins. Nigeria will then head to Lesotho on November 19 for Match Day 2 fixture with qualification series going on a break to resume next year on August 31, 2020.

That day, Super Eagles will play hosts to Sierra Leone while Benin will be at home to Lesotho. Eagles Coach Rohr has just finished the burial programs of his late mother this week.
