Breaking: Eaglets crash out of FIFA U-17 World Cup
Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets have crashed out of the FIFA U-17 World Cup after losing 3-1 to Netherlands in the Round of 16 at the Estádio Olímpico, Goiania in Brazil in the early hours of Wednesday.
The five-time champions are the second Africa country to be eliminated from the competition.
Netherlands is the second country to qualify for the final eight after Korea Republic who defeated Angola by a lone goal in the first match of the knockout stage.

Sontje Hansen scored all three goals for the Netherlands while Olakunle Olusegun scored Nigeria’s consolatory goal.
