TOP TEN FIFA U-17 GROUP STAGE GOALS:  Two Eaglets’ stars listed 

Federation of International Football (FIFA) has selected the goals of Golden Eaglets players Ibrahim Said and Peter Olawale among the top 10 goals at the ongoing FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil.

The goals scored in the group stage was announced on FIFA’s official website on Tuesday.

Said’s second goal, a free-kick from outside the box was picked among the three goals he scored against Ecuador in Nigeria’s second group game. which the Eaglets came from behind to win 3-2.

While Olawale’s goal, a shot taken from the edge of the box against Australia, Nigeria’s equaliser in their 2-1 loss was also selected.

Hat-trick hero Said is the joint second-highest goalscorer along with Degnand Gnonto of Italy, Mexico’s Efraín Alvarez and Pape Sarr of Senegal.

A total of 123 goals were scored in the group stage.

Nigeria play the Netherlands at 12 midnight on Wednesday for a quarter-final ticket.
