Brest to break bank to get Terem Moffi
French Ligue 1 club Brest want to pay a record transfer fee of five million Euros (N2.2B) for KV Kortrijk striker Terem Moffi.
Should Moffi move to Stade Francis le Blé in the coastal Brittany city of Brest, the 21-year-old would be the most expensive player Les Pirates since they smashed their own transfer record of about three million Euros when they bought Youcef Attal from OGC Nice.
Moffi, a former junior international for Nigeria, enhanced his burgeoning reputation with four goals in seven games for the Belgian side since his January move from Riteria in Lithuania.
Moffi was recently named in the Kortrijk’s Team of the Season despite joining the club for only two months before the league ended prematurely due to the Coronavirus Pandemic set in.
He was twice voted the Player of the Month by Kortrijk fans and had also won two Man-of-the-Match awards since joining the Northern Belgium side. He scored 21 goals in 30 games in the Lithuanian top league in 2019.
He also made the League Team of the Week once and in the process made a huge statement which has resulted in his signature being coveted during the next transfer window.

Belgium giants Anderlecht and Glasgow Rangers from Scotland are among clubs across Europe also in the running for the Buckswood School alumni.
He recently hinted that his preference would be to move to either France or Spain if he departs the Belgian Pro League in the next transfer window.
