Brighton pushing to bring in Roberto De Zerbi
Brighton are continuing talks over a move to make Roberto De Zerbi their new head coach.
The 43-year-old has been at the top of Brighton’s list to replace Graham Potter, who left for Chelsea earlier this month, however the Italian has been attracting interest from other clubs too.
Former England international Adam Lallana has joined the club’s coaching staff in the interim, supporting former Norwich star Andrew Crofts in his role as caretaker manager at the Seagulls.
De Zerbi forged his coaching reputation with unfancied Sassuolo in Italy, achieving two eighth place finishes in Serie A before moving to Shakhtar Donetsk.
He guided the Ukrainian side to Super Cup victory and amassed 20 wins out of his 30 games in charge before leaving in July after war broke out with Russia.
De Zerbi has rejected an approach from Bologna and is open to joining Brighton but Juventus are also monitoring developments with Massimiliano Allegri’s future in question.

Brighton’s negotiations with De Zerbi are ongoing while they have also discussed the likes of Bo Svensson at Mainz and Kjetil Knutsen at Bodo/Glimt.
Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been tipped as a potential replacement for Potter at the Amex.
With Brighton’s Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace cancelled coupled with the upcoming international break, the club will have a considerable amount of time to bring in a suitable replacement for the departed Potter.
