CAF ‘blackout’ Nigerian referees from AFCON again

Africa’s football governing body, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has snubbed Nigerian referees again for the up tenth time from officials that will be in the middle at the forthcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

At the last count, Nigerian referees have failed to gain recognition from both CAF and the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) in recent competitions.

Sadly, no Nigerian referees will see action when hostilities commence at Cote d’Ivoire 2023.

Interestingly, out of the 19 nationalities selected by CAF, Egypt and Morocco have three representatives each.
