CAFCL: Rivers Utd set to battle Young Africans after landing in Tanzania

 

Nigeria’s second representatives for the 2021-2022 CAF Champions League, Rovers United are set to battle Young Africans after touching down in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania ahead of their encounter.

The Rivers United’s contingent for the Champions League 1st preliminary round 1st leg clash with Young Africans of Tanzania landed in Dar es Salaam on Friday morning, from Lagos aboard Kenya airline.

A total of 22 players and 8 officials on board the Embraer 199 aircraft had a brief stop over at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport in Nairobi, Kenya before connecting to the Julius Nyerere airport in Dar es Salaam.

The Pride of Rivers touched down at 10:21am local time.

Sunday’s encounter is scheduled for the 60,000 capacity Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
