Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr has made a blunt assessment of the performance of the African teams that
all fell by the way side at the ongoing Russia 2018 World Cup adducing it to lack of continuity in the
coaching staff.

Rohr also told SportingLife.ng that the five teams namely Nigeria, Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt
which represented Africa also lost out to ill luck and bad organisation.

He however said that an Africa team will qualify for the semifinals of the next World Cup in 2022.

Rohr was proud of African teams losing narrowly and gallantly to world football powers like the Super
Eagles against Argentina and Senegal failing to qualify to the second round due to card offenses.

“Generally they are missing continuity, especially in the technical staff”, Rohr disclosed to
SportingLife.ng while in Saint Petersburg

“African teams missed luck and have still some problems with organization. But I forsee a situation in
the next World Cup in Qatar that an African team may qualify for the semifinals of the competition. All
the problems I itemize here prevented an African team sailing through to the second round of the
ongoing World Cup in Russia”, Rohr disclosed to SportingLife.ng in Saint Petersburg.
