Chelsea supporter demands apology from owner Abramovich

A Chelsea fan has demanded an apology from Blues owner Roman Abramovich for the club’s attempt to join a European Super League.

Chelsea fans protested outside of Stamford Bridge ahead of their game against Brighton on Tuesday evening, which led to kick-off being delayed by 15 minutes as Thomas Tuchel’s men were held to a goalless draw.

Abramovich’s Chelsea along with Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City, Manchester United and Tottenham have all since withdrawn from the breakaway competition.

And Blues fan Phil wants Abramovich to ‘have the decency’ and publicly apologise to supporters.

He told talkSPORT: “There’s so much I want to say.

“First of all, I’m so proud, it’s great to be a fan, not just a Chelsea fan, but for the fans all over the country. We’re going to do it again if it happens.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to them. Another thank you that’s been forgotten is for the media.

“People like you that give us a voice so we can say this because without you we’d be nothing really. A big thank you to all the presenters on talkSPORT.

“We stood outside of Stamford Bridge last night. We moved out of the way because it was Brighton.

“I’m just wondering if we would have moved out of the way if it was City or United or Tottenham or Liverpool? They’re saying get rid of Bruce Buck? Fair enough.

“But doesn’t it also mean Mr Abramovich as well? We’re not going to hear from him – we never do.

“He should have the decency to come out and apologise. For once in his life he should say, ‘sorry!’”
