Conte breaks silence on Napoli links

Antonio Conte insists he wants to ‘enjoy the family’ but refuses to rule out replacing Rudi Garcia at Napoli: ‘It takes respect and education.’

The former midfielder was one of the Juventus legends celebrating 100 years of Agnelli ownership in Turin on Tuesday night.

Multiple reports in Italy claim Napoli have made contact with the ex-Juventus and Inter coach to offer him the job replacing under-fire Garcia.

“For now, I enjoy the family. I made a precise choice when I decided to stop with Tottenham,” Conte told Sky Sport Italia.

“I want to rest and enjoy my family, then you know very well that many things can happen on this path. Now I want to enjoy this atmosphere and what we have around.”

At this point, Gianluca Di Marzio asked Conte: what if I tell you Napoli?

“Look, it takes great respect and education,” the coach replied.

“Again, we just want to enjoy tonight, we are happy.”

Conte won four Serie A titles as a coach, three at Juventus and one at Inter.

He left the Nerazzurri in May 2021, joining Tottenham less than six months later.

He parted company with Spurs earlier this year.

Garcia’s Napoli have lost the last game before the break against Fiorentina at the Stadio Maradona and are seven points below Serie A leaders Napoli.

According to reports in Italy, ex-Verona and Marseille boss Igor Tudor, a former assistant of Andrea Pirlo at Juventus, is also on Napoli’s radars as a potential replacement for Garcia.
