Continental Clash:  Different Strokes for Enyimba, Rangers

CAF Champions league and Confederation cup Campaigners Enyimba and Rangers  International will have their hands full this Sunday as they attempt to progress further in their different categories.

Rangers who lost 2-1 away to AS Pelican of Gabon in the first leg of their two legged encounter will be hoping to turn the table when they host Pelican at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium otherwise called the Cathedral.

Sportinglife.ng understands that Rangers who only few days back sealed a kit sponsorship deal to further raise the profile of the club have mobilised fans to turn out in large numbers ahead of the Sunday showdown.

The slim loss away is considered in some quarters to be a good omen for the Flying Antelopes who stand over 50% chance of turning the table especially with the support of fans whose positive chants can serve as a ginger on a good day.

Oriental brothers Enyimba campaigning in the CAF Champions league some say are in for a tougher encounter against Sudanese side Al Hilal in Omdurman. The two time Champions league winners were held to a goalless draw at the Enyimba

International Stadium at Aba in the first leg, a result which puts the Peoples Elephant in a rather tight corner. But like they say in football, it is never over until it is over.

Known for their fight to the finish determination Enyimba equally stands a chance of of carrying the day even with just an un-replied goal.

In some other matches billed for Sunday in the CAF Champions league, Etoile du Sahel will host Ghana’s Asante Kotoko and Gor Mahia of Kenya take on USM Alger of Algeria.
