Abraham fails to score as Chelsea secure first home win, Balogun missing
Tammy Abraham failed to score for Chelsea who secured their first home victory against Brighton in the English Premier League on Saturday.
Second-half goals from Jorginho and Willian’s deflected shot earned the Blues a 2-0 victory at the Stamford Bridge.
Abraham was on the field until the 84th minute and was replaced by Michy Batshuayi.
Nigerian- born defender Fikayo Tomori who paired Andreas Christensen at the heart of the Blues’ defence, put up a fine performance to help the London side keep a clean sheet.
Super Eagles centre back Leon Balogun was missing for Brighton as a result of injury.
Isaac Success who is still nursing injury was absent in Watford’s 2-0 away defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Matt Doherty opened scoring for Wolves in the 18th minute, while Watford’s Darryl Janmaat’s scored an own goal a minute after the hour mark.
Nigeria winger Alex Iwobi was in action for Everton who lost 3-1 to Manchester City at the Goodison Park.
Iwobi who was featuring in his fifth league match for the Toffees replaced injured Theo Walcott.
