Daka: I’m joining Leicester – my big dream

RB Salzburg striker, Patson Daka, has declared he is joining Leicester City.

The Zambia international says he’s excited about the prospect of joining the FA Cup winners.

The 22-year-old Krone Zeitung: “I will go to England and move to Leicester City. I had a great time here, Salzburg has become my second home. I will always be happy to come back here, but the Premier League has always been my big dream.”

Signing a forward was one of City’s priorities for the summer window with Brendan Rodgers keen to add more goals to his side, says the Leicester Mercury.

They initially targeted Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard, but after talks stalled over a transfer fee they diverted their focus to Daka.

He has been with the Austrian club for four seasons, but now moves on and will compete with Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho for a role up front in Rodgers’ side.
