Eagles Hit with Injury Blow Ahead Seychelles Clash

Super Eagles of Nigeria’s quest for Africa Cup of Nation’s ticket has suffered a blow as Ola Aina has been ruled out of the September 8, crunch clash with Seychelles.

The Nigeria International and Torino wing-back Ola pulled out of the international duty with Nigeria after sustaining a muscular injury.

The player on loan from Chelsea limped off during the 1-0 Serie A win over SPAL on Sunday.

As at press time more tests are needed to ascertain the extent of the damage to the left femoral bicep.

Toro has therefore announced that Aina will not be able to attend the international duty for Nigeria’s game against the Seychelles in Victoria.

Meanwhile, Nigerian international and Galatasaray of Turkey attacker, Henry Onyekuru has declared that he is targeting victory on his return to the Super Eagles, as he wants Nigeria to win away to Seychelles on Saturday.

The former KAS Eupen and RSC Anderlecht of Belgium attacker, who was at the weekend on for 67 minutes, said he now wants to ensure the Eagles get back to winning ways.

“The game against Trabzonspor is behind me now; it’s one of those few bad days but I’m confident we will bounce back from it.

“For now, the focus is the national team ahead of our qualifiers and I’m super excited to be back with the team. I hope we can get back to winning ways,” Onyekuru submitted.
