Eagles Hopeful on the losing side with French club

Reims of France forward Seyi Ojo failed to save his club from their third defeat of the season, following their 4-1 demolition in the hands of league leaders PSG in a Ligue 1 fixture on Wednesday night.

Ojo who was adjudged the best Reims player on the pitch, following a rating of 5.5, watched helplessly as PSG continued their unbeaten run into the season from seven matches to lead the standings with 21 points.

The England U-21 who is in France on loan from English Premier League side Liverpool, a move aimed at giving him enough playing time missed an opportunity to score, but later made up by providing the assist that led to Reims consolation goal.

It would be the second consecutive match for Ojo who was on for the entire 90 minutes.

After the match, Ojo exchanged jersey with Brazilian international Neymar which he tweeted.

Only recently, the 21-year-old issued a come and get me to the Nigeria Football Federation on his interest to play for the Super Eagles, having only represented England at the youth level.
