Eagles invitation excites Azeez after five years absence
Granada of Spain midfielder Ramon Azeez has revealed how excited he is to back to the Super Eagles after a five-year absence.
The 26-year-old who scored against Barcelona last Sunday in the La Liga has been included in the 23-man squad that will face Brazil on October 13 in an international friendly.
“The manager [Diego Martínez] has shown great faith and belief in me,” Azeez told BBC Sport.
“I also understand La Liga better now than before so everything leads to this.
“I think the support of my teammates, everyone at the club and a new mentality has helped. It is always an honour to play for my country and to be recognised by coach [Gernot] Rohr.”
