EFL Cup Round Up: Iheanacho strikes, Etebo scores penalty, Iwobi bags assist, Success missing
A round up of Nigeria players who featured for their respective clubs in Tuesday’s EFL Cup in England by Sportinglife.ng
Arsenal
Bukayo Saka made his debut for the Gunners coming on in the 45th minute for injured Smith Rowe. It was a good performance from the youngster who scored in last week’s Europa League.
Leicester City
The Foxes were three goals up when Kelechi Ihenacho made his way onto the pitch in the 71st minute as replacement for Ayoze Perez for the first time this season. He scored the fourth goal against Luton in the 86th minute. Compatriot Wilfred Ndidi started the game and was replaced by Hamza Choudbury 13 minutes from time.
Everton
Alex Iwobi was on for the entire minutes and registered an assist as Everton defeated Sheffield United 2-0
Iwobi played a low cross which was converted by Calvert-Lewin for his second goal of the match in the 10th minute.
Stoke City
Oghenekaro Etebo came on in the second half but failed to rescue Stoke City who lost to Penalties 5-3 to Crawley Town at the People’s Pension Stadium. The Nigeria midfielder converted his penalty with the game ending 1-1 at full time.

Watford
Both Tom Dele-Bashiru and injured Isaac Success played no role in Watford’s 2-1 win against Swansea City.
