EPL: Arsenal to make Saka highest paid at Emirates

Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka is expected to become the club’s highest paid player.

The winger is renegotiating his contract as a reward for his outstanding displays over the past two seasons.

The 21-year-old will renew his contract before the season concludes, with Arsenal currently top of the Premier League.

Per The Chris Wheatley Show, Saka will put pen to paper on his deal, which will make him the club’s highest earner.

The Gunners have been busy tying down players to new contracts, with Gabriel Martinelli getting fresh terms recently.

Securing Saka would be a huge boon for manager Mikel Arteta, as Europe’s top clubs will be monitoring his situation.

Wheatley said: “It is all but sealed. Bukayo Saka is expected to put pen to paper on that new long-term deal very shortly.

“It’s all agreed from Saka’s side. It’s all agreed from Arsenal’s side. I think it’s just dotting the Is and crossing the Ts – a nice British expression there for you. But yeah, I think it’s just a matter of time before it’s confirmed.

“Bukayo Saka is going to become Arsenal’s highest-paid player. And I think many Arsenal fans and many people in the game will agree it’s deserved after what he’s contributed over the last couple of seasons.”
