EPL: Arteta pushes Arsenal to upgrade Odegaard’s deal

Arsenal are in talks with Martin Odegaard about a new contract.

The Gunners captain has been a key player ever since his initial loan from Real Madrid in in 2021.

The Sun says manager Mikel Arteta is eager to secure the midfielder’s future and has instructed the board to upgrade his deal.

Odegaard’s contract is now viewed as a priority with the summer market shut.

The Norway skipper’s current deal runs to 2025.
