EPL: Old Trafford victory crucial for Fulham, says Bassey

Super Eagles defender, Calvin Bassey says Fulham have to build on their remarkable victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

The crucial 2-1 win, secured with goals from Bassey and Alex Iwobi, terminated Fulham’s 11-game winless streak in away matches this season.

The triumph propels Fulham to the 12th position on the EPL standings.

Speaking with TribalFootball, Bassey insists Fulham deserved to win and most importantly they have to continue playing that way.

“You can see the quality of the players they have.

“They have got top players and a top manager and players that can have an effect off the bench.

“But we were just at it more and I felt we wanted it more. That showed in the way we played and we have to continue that way,” Bassey said.
