Tottenham players are due a healthy bonus if they qualify for the Champions League this season.

The Daily Mail says the squad will trigger a bonus of just over £1million for finishing fourth. They would receive over £1.5million if they finished third.

But the majority of Tottenham’s complex bonus schedule is spread across the season to incentivise each game and point throughout the season, with the amount pumped into the bounty after each result dependent on the league position of Tottenham and their opponents at the time of each fixture.

In total, Spurs players are in line to net in the region of £3million if they can finish in the top-four this season.

The bonus will then be shared amongst the squad on a pro-rata basis based on appearances and minutes played.
