Ex-Flying Eagles star joins German club St Pauli
Ex-Akwa United and Flying Eagles midfield maestro Afeez Aremu has completed a switch to German second division club side St.Pauli.
The 20-year-old Afeez joined the German side from Norwegian side IK Start on Monday and he signed a three years contract that will keep him at the club until 2023.
Afeez who will wear jersey number 14 for the club next season, said in a short video posted on social media that he can’t wait to get started with the club.

“I’m excited to be starting a new adventure with St Pauli, I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait to get on the pitch with my new teammates,” he summed up.
Afeez was part of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles squad to the African Youth Championship in 2019, but narrowly missed out on the team to the FIFA U20 World Cup same year.
