Faleye: I was betrayed by friends during my injury nightmare

FC Wacker Innsbruck attacker, Sunday Faleye has stressed that he felt betrayed by those he felt couldn’t desert him.
Faleye came on as a 63rd-minute replacement for Blessing Muyiwa Olabiran and he made an immediate impact by scoring Nigeria Under 23 fourth goal of the day in their 5-0 crushing of Sudan in the return leg of 2019 Under 23 AFCON qualifier.
The former Shooting Stars hit-man told Sportinglife.ng that he doesn’t want to recall what he went through when he suffered an injury and was abandoned by those that should be of assistance to him.
“It has really been tough for me because a lot of people that I believed they were there for me left me and I have left that behind me and I have moved on,” Faleye told Sportinglife.ng.

“I had a little pressure initially because I am working under a very good coach and he made me play in a very different position which he feels is suitable for me. I am playing in the midfield for my club either as a supporting striker or as a defensive midfielder.”
