FIFA Celebrates Pinnick in Switzerland after Winning NFF Election

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has led other football elites across the globe to bestow a formal recognition on Amaju Pinnick in Zurich as the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The FIFA president gave Pinnick the heroic ‘Welcome back’ recognition on Monday during a top ranking FIFA Meeting held in Switzerland following Pinnick’s re-election as NFF President at the recently held elective congress of the federation in Katsina state, Nigeria.

The meeting led by Infantino has other member of Organising Committee for FIFA Competitions, of which Pinnick is member.

As gathered it is a tradition among the top ranking football family members to celebrate every member of a FIFA committee if elected or re-elected into position in his country’s FA or confederation.

It would be recalled that in the city of Katsina, an overwhelming majority of members of the Nigerian Football Congress endorsed Pinnick for a fresh four –year term.

On Sunday, September 30, Pinnick was formally inaugurated as first Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), taking his place beside CAF President Ahmad at the 12th CAF Extra-Ordinary General Assembly in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
