World Ranking: FIFA Has Made My Day – Omeruo

Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo on Thursday showered accolades on World Football governing body, FIFA, for the latest Super Eagles ranking.

 

Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo on Thursday showered accolades on World Football governing body, FIFA, for the latest Super Eagles ranking.

FIFA released the latest ranking on Thursday and the national Football team moved five places up.

Nigeria jumped from 52 to 47 in the world and climbed one spot to sixth in Africa in the latest compilation of the rankings.

 The improved ranking caught the fancy of the Chelsea loanee to Kasimpasa player and he took to social media his feelings about it.

He wrote on instagram: “This here just made my day.. recent FIFA ranking.. Nigeria Up 5 places.. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 ❤🇳🇬 we will keep going up..”

Omeruo honoured the national team invitation for Nigeria’s  Poland and Serbia friendlies.

Super Eagles won 1-0 against Poland in Wroclaw but lost 2-0 to Serbia in the second friendly played at The , home ground of English League Two side, Barnet in London.
