Former Super Falcons star welcomes baby boy at 44

 

Former Super Falcons player, Patience Avre has welcomed her first child after suffering several miscarriages.

The 44-year-old took to her Facebook page to announce the good news.

“Our bundle of J.O.Y is here. We are grateful for the gift of him. God made all things beautiful in his time. In his time, the perfect time he gave OritseLaju to us.

“Our beloved son, Laju in whom we are well pleased. You’re welcome to our world of wonders. You are a priceless awesome gift to us and your generation.

“Oh, how I love your cute loving face. How I love your chuckling, your sweet smiles light up stars in my bowels.
“I bless you today and always. You will live to fulfill your purpose. You grow tall, strong, and healthy. Yes, you will grow in wisdom and in the fear of the Lord. Your life is beautiful. Your days are blessed. Rejoicing is the order of your day(s). You are kept and preserved by the power of God. We love you, baby

“I will rejoice for he has made me glad. Some said it can’t be. Others mocked when I had miscarriages in the past, that it was faked. In pains and grief, I find solace in God’s promise that he will make me a joy-full mother of children,” said Avre who now works as a nurse in Chicago in the United States of America.

Before hanging her boots, Avre featured at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 1995, 1999, and 2003, Sydney 2000 Olympics, and the Africa Women’s Championship.
