The Yellow Submarine won a first-ever major trophy on Wednesday night with their marathon penalty shootout triumph against Manchester United.

Victory in the final saw Villarreal earning €4million, with another €3.5million in prize money due for next season’s UEFA Super Cup.

Overall, Villarreal have earned a massive €30.6million from their Europa League run this season – and that’s without counting the €7.5m coming their way thanks to Wednesday night’s win.
