Liverpool have drawn their Champions League last 16 first leg tie – their first draw in 12 Champions League outings.

They had the chances to score but for all their attacking talent, lacked some real bite up front this evening. But they do take a clean sheet to the Allianz Arena in three weeks time, where away goals could be crucial to see them through.

Dejan Lovren, who was an injury doubt before this game, has not made the Liverpool starting line-up.

That means, with Virgil van Dijk also suspended, Fabhino will play at centre-back.

Roberto Firmino and Gini Wijnaldium are fit to start. Jordan Henderson comes into midfield. Trent Alexander-Arnold returns at right-back.

Team to play Bayern:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Henderson,

Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman was an injury doubt for this game but has recovered following his injury at the weekend.

Midfielder Leon Goretzka misses out with an ankle problem.

The top scorer in the Champions League this season Robert Lewandowski leads the attack with James Rodriguez and former Arsenal winger Serge Gnarby also up front.

Team to play Liverpool:

Neuer, Kimmich, Sule, Hummels, Alaba, Thiago, Martinez, Rodriguez, Gnabry, Coman, Lewandowski.
