#GlobeSoccer: Boniface tackles 26 others for Emerging Player of the Year prize

Nigeria and Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface is set to replace compatriot Victor Osimhen after he was nominated for the Emerging Player of the Year category at the 2023 Globe Soccer Awards.

A total of twenty-six players are also in contention for the award that includes the likes Moisés Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Cesare Casadei, Rasmus Højlund, Eduardo Camavinga, Arda Güler, Jude Bellingham, Alejandro Balde, Pedri, Lamine Yamal and Gavi are among the players nominated for the award.

Interestingly, Jamal Musiala, Evan Ferguson, Joško Gvardiol , Jeremy Doku and Xavi Simons are also in contention for the individual accolade.

On his part, Boniface has been in fantastic form for Bundesliga leaders, Bayer Leverkusen this campaign.

At the last count, He has netted 11 times and provided six assists in 16 games in all competitions for Leverkusen this term.

Already, the 22-year-old has been named Bundesliga Player of the Month for August while winning the Rookie of the Month prize for three consecutive months.
