The  duo have assured that the team will bounce back from their 2-1 loss to Australia in a final U17 World Cup Group B match last Friday.

Nwachukwu who came in as a replacement for Peter Olawale in the second half, said the loss was not good for Nigeria , but the five – time world champions will work hard to make Nigerians proud.

“It was a bad one for us, we lost 2-1 to Australia and it was not good for us. We have been five times champion and much is expected from us. Nigerians and our coaches are not happy with us but we hope we will bounce back in our next match, being the knock-out stage. We hope to play well and make our country and our families proud,” he assured.

Oluwabusola said hard luck was on the side of the Eaglets against Australia but hopefully the team will get it right in the round of 16 clash.

“Obviously we were disappointed we lost the game. Football is all about goals and I know with the help of our coaches and the management team, we will be able to train on finishing. It is unfortunate that we conceded from a penalty but I know that by God’s grace we will win in the round of 16 and we will continue to win from there. We will put in a lot of efforts to make Nigeria proud,” he said.
